WHAT HEARTFELT IS ABOUT

Ok, lets break it down, cos persons are asking what my Blog is really about. I'll keep it simple. Literary expression is my style (hey, I'm an introvert, don't really talk much, though persons with whom I'm intimate would debunk that in a moment). So what's this about? Many things! But what you must know is that within the poetry and captivating prose, there are deep thoughts being expressed, emotions being let out and explored, engaging questions of life being asked, answers being sought,

RESTLESS SOUL 1 - EVE

His mind is restless,

Pacing, groping, frantically searching;

Blood shot eyes are darting

From side to side, he’s glaring

That yawning void, a chasm

Boring deep within him;

His very own heart a prison

His downturned lips are twitching

His sweaty palms are itching

Needing so frantically to do something

The emptiness was so consuming!

Like bees to nectar

He’s drawn to a beautiful specter,

His heart is filled with lustful wishes,

He’s driven by passion to do her bidding.

He’s totally blind to her devices,

He can’t discern her caprices,

Neither sees that which is hidden,

He’s attracted to the forbidden.

Because twisted feels sweetest,

In the arms of his mistress;

He’s lost in her lusciousness,

Her bosom’s tenderness,

But the end of it is emptiness;

Her sweet turns bitter in a moment.

The pleasure she gives is fleeting,

His release brings no relief

The passion lasted but for a minute

A minute in which he found no meaning

And now he’s back to the beginning

This aching void still widening

Where should he turn for healing?

Is there still balm in Gilead?
